Roji (路地) is a collection which grew out of my curiosity for interstitial passageways. I closely observed how narrow alleys, street corners, and construction perimeters form layered, transitional urban spaces where a city’s soul and spatial mind reveal itself.
Roji is where time gathers.
These vague, undefined spaces hold infinite traces of presence, and carry the weight of intimacy, familiarity and warmth.
These spatial qualities are translated into garments with loose, open, and adaptive silhouettes. Textiles are treated with plant dyes and iron-rich mud. Each piece is thoughtfully constructed using waste-conscious pattern cutting. Circularity sits at the core, with every step carefully considered throughout the process.
